The Get Down, la nouvelle série Netflix retraçant les débuts du hip-hop à New York, a été diffusée pour la première fois hier soir pour ses abonnés. Réalisé par Baz Luhrmann (Romeo & Juliet, Moulin rouge) et co-produit par le rappeur Nas, ce projet est illustré par une bande-son hip-hop/funk comprenant des classiques (“Think (About It)” de Lyn Collins, “(Are You Ready) Do the Bus Stop” de Fatback, “Bad Girls” de Donna Summer...) et de nouveaux titres signés Janelle Monáe, Kamasi Washington, Michael Kiwanuka et Leon Bridges, qui s’approprie le “Ball of Confusion” des Temptations.
La bande originale de The Get Down est disponible sur toutes les plateformes de streaming et en version 2-CDs Deluxe le 30 septembre.
